In this class, we introduce a very
common structure: Noun + verb + noun
This structure is used to make very
general statement. Without the help of many structural adverbs,
which we will introduce in later classes, this structure in its
simplest form can express the following two meanings.
Section A: Express feelings such as
love, hate, etc.

我们喜欢音乐. wuo3men2xi3huan1yin1yue4
We like music.

我讨厌数学. wuo3tao3yan4shu4xue2
I hate math.

他害怕他的父亲.
ta1 hai4pa4 ta1de fu4qin
He fears his father
Section B: Deliver statement,
description, and relationship

狼吃绵羊 lang2 chi1 mian2 yang2
Wolf eats sheep.

绵羊吃草 mian2yang2 chi1 cao3
Sheep eats grass.

草需要水 cao3 xu1yao4 shui3
Grass needs water.

水灭火
shui3 mie4 huo3
Water stops fire.
8.
火烧木头 huo3 shao1 mu4tou
Fire burns wood.

more verbs and adverbs to built upon noun + verb + noun for
more functions.
